SNL’s Clinton-Palin Skit a Hilarious Hit

Tina and Sarah...separated at birth?For anyone who missed it, here is last night’s hilariously funny Saturday Night Live skit on sexism in this year’s presidential race, featuring a special appearance by Tina Fey as Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Amy Poehler as Sen. Hillary Clinton. While Fey — who left SNL in 2006 — nailed Palin’s look, speaking style and mannerisms, it was her portrayal of Palin’s understanding of key national issues (or lack thereof) that was the real dead-ringer.

Sen. John McCainSince accepting their GOP nominations 2 weeks ago, both Sen. John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are proving to be by far the most liberal candidates in the race when it comes to one important issue: truth. For a candidate who professes to rise above the sort of nasty lies and smears that cost him the 2000 nomination, McCain’s newfound penchant for such tactics says volumes about his determination to win at whatever cost.
