DILLON’S NOTE TO READERS:
Due to the unexpectedly considerable time demands — both in closely following the 2008 U.S. elections as well as in handling the ongoing considerable technical needs of this site — I have decided to take a temporary blogging break until the start of the incoming Obama administration in January.
This blog had been intended only as an occasional pastime for me; I never had anticipated that the venture would become as consuming as it has proven to be these past six to nine months — from the long development stage through its public launch in September and finally to last week’s close of the 2008 election season. This two-month break will allow me to downshift for a bit through the holidays as I return my full-time focus to my paid writing career.
The fountain will be turned on again Jan. 20, 2009 upon the inauguration of Barack Obama as our nation’s 44th president, at which time commentaries will be posted on a less-frequent basis than has been customary throughout the general election. Upon resuming, DCFOUNTAIN.COM will follow a new posting schedule of approximately once per week, perhaps twice at most; multiple postings during the week will occur only rarely — if and when I feel so compelled.
I sincerely appreciate your interest and hope you will rejoin me at the dawn of America’s new political era. Until January, best wishes for an enjoyable holiday season and for a fresh start with the new year!
